Andrew,

I seem to have lost your post questioning TRX rim with ZX struts. On second
thoughts you are correct i.e. they narrow the track, so a wheel like
Performance Superlites would be more the go. I wonder what wheels ZX folk
use, the factory ones are usually pretty ordinary.

Terry

Zac,

The Z C130 hubs reduce the track by 11mm over the stock 510 so a wheel like
the TRX 15's or 6" 240K/C210/R31 wheels would probably even things up a bit.
You need a 5.5" - 6" wheel with 12mm - 25mm offset to maintain the track
that you get with 200B/240K/180B struts but most 1600's would have wheels in
that area already fitted. You're right, there's more to it than just fitting
the C130 struts - never is that easy. The brake upgrade to vented and the
availability of good pads is what attracts me to it. The 200B/240K upgrade
is a top low cost street upgrade for sure, it has it's limitations for
anything more than that though - the brakes side of it that is. In many
respects the late 180B strut is a better option but with it you have to go
all the way brake wise at the time of fitting for any benefits.

regards
Terry

Terry doesnt this mess with the wheel offset required?

Doing the 280zx/spring perch does seem to be a bit of hassle when compared
to the 200b/240k, which has a whole lot of known brake ugprades with it.
