Cam, Not so grasshopper, the 1600 68/69 had 10", early 70 had 11" and late 70/71/72 all had 11.5" and I've actually seen a 1600 strut of unknown origin that were 10.5" and there are 5 different part numbers listed on the microfiche. The ground clearance of the 71/72 stock was a whopping 7.5" or 190cm - they were literally on tippee toes. The funny thing is that they stuffed up a brilliant front end over time (xmember mountings, superior tapered balljoints etc) and for some strange reason and they continued on the into the 610 or 180B run as they stuffed the rearend up on them to go with the front, alas the geometry on the 710 was returned to brilliant again, mainly because that model was engineered at Prince but then again so was the B210 better known here in Aus as the 120YYYYY? - you may have noticed the Dimers go for 710 bits for their 510.
