90
would be the limit. I would go with 89 and have stiffer bores if it was my
engine. Either that, or bore and sleeve the block to 92 mm. (approx $480 for 4
sleeves)
Just
another thought?
would a Z22 be safe at 90mm running forced
induction?

The Z22 block is a different casting that can be taken out to 89mm
easily with plenty of meat left in the bores. A Z20 would be close to water
then I would think?
I've just been looking at the specs for a few
different Z series bits and pieces and noticed that the Z20 and Z22 blocks
appear to be the same, they're the same deckheight, but the Z20 is 85mm bore
and the Z22 is 88mm bore ..... is the Z22 block just a bored out Z20 block?
is it safe to take a Z20 block out that far? has anyone ever tried
this?
Dave
