Ben, You probably have a warped rocker cover. To check if this is the case;
Remove the rocker cover Clean the mating surface Place a steel rule (or other straight edge) across the width and length of the rocker cover at various places and use a feeler guage to determine if it is warped. To fix the problem, use some Emery paper on a flat surface (sheet of glass/mirror etc)and resurface the mating surfaces. New gasket and Bob's your uncle.
