Malcolm, There would be no adavntage at all of bolting it up like that. There is no way you could ensure you had correct alignment and you would obviously be bending or flexing the floor or crossmember somewhere. It would be a total waste of time. You would be much better off doing a cut and shut on the crossmember and hoping the half shafts did not bind or fitting shorter half shafts if necessary. Jake
