I can only get a crisp keybanger in my 200B one way. I cant get one by pumping the throttle at all. The only way I can get one is revving it over 4000, and switching it off for no longer than about 2 seconds, with my foot right off the throttle, then when I switch it back on there's only about a 30% chance of getting a really loud one. I'm surprised I havent blown the muffler yet some of the backfires I've fired off would rival a 12 gauge. I do have a modified exhaust from stock though... it's got rusty old extractors, then into about a 2 inch bit of pipe right through and over the back axle, then into a standard round 200B muffler... so basically it's missing the front resonator. I have found there to be no difference in the chance of a loud one whether I'm moving or not, some of my finest efforts have been while amusing myself at traffic lights. My single carby is a bit dodgy too, it does leak a bit of excessive fuel into the mix.
I wouldnt recommend doing them if you value your muffler.
