Hi Dormando, Thanks for your guidance. Meanwhile, reading through the memcached email chain, I see someone else also observed something similar but there was no solution. The question is how do I create the memcahed-sasl-pwdb file and populate it with username and password as the saslpasswd2 doesnt seem to be doing it in this case.
