I've had a couple other non-MB manual transmission vehicles in the past decade and ALL of them used auto-trans fluid in the manual transmission. It strikes me odd that we're having this conversation with how common the practice is now.

Tarek, I am no excpert but the reason for that may have to do with a car which was intended for operation in very cold climates! Was your car bought in Europ, or manufactured for European use?
