I think I have to ASSUME that the Speed Sensor is functional as the
idle actuator is trying to adjust the speed. When I got home this
evening, I tried to adjust the "unassisted idle speed" per Marshall's
instructions.
Pull plug on actuator, engine stalls.
Hmm, I see adjustment screw, it has a 13mm jamn nut which has been
sealed to test my veracity. Break the damn seal, full speed ahead.
Turn CCW, no improvement
Turn back and 1 turn CW, no improvement.
Seal it back up, time for Sam Adams!
Thoughts?
If adjusting the screw doesn't change the idle speed - then the
injection pump is BROKEN. I don't recall how far I needed to adjust the
screw before I detected any effect, but it was MUCH more than 1/8 or 1/4
a turn!
