On my Dodge Cummins truck I change my full flow filter at 7k miles and my bypass filter at 21k miles, at 14k miles I pull a oil sample. Soot came back .15 with 200k miles on the truck and over 150k miles on the oil. All I do is add make up oil for filter changes and what I loose from blowby. I'm using Amsoil 15w-40 Marine Diesel with the bypass filter kit. When I get my MBZ it's going to get the same treatment.
