I've used a bottle jack with no problems, just be sure to use a thick board to spread out the force. You need to get the hex bolt heads underneath the mounts cleaned out completly and tap the hex wrench in solid before trying to loosen the bolt. If you strip the head out you get to remove the bearer arm and them cut the mount in half to remove it.
