Just remember that if that board slips the weight of the diesel engine has the potential to punch a hole in the oil pan with the little surface on the top of a bottle jack. A floor jack may only dent it a bit. That and it is alot less likely to fall and pinch your hand, arm, fingers, etc..

I've used a bottle jack with no problems, just be sure to use a thick
board to spread out the force. You need to get the hex bolt heads
underneath the mounts cleaned out completly and tap the hex wrench in
solid before trying to loosen the bolt. If you strip the head out you get
to remove the bearer arm and them cut the mount in half to remove it.
