My '95 E300D (124 body) has an awful steering wheel vibration at ~65
mph. At any other speed, very little vibration is noticable.
I rotated the tires front to back and that did not change anything.
From a web search, I found another list that suggesedt this may be
caused by failure of the front caster bushings (on a 140).
Does anybody on this list have experience with this problem?
95% of the complaints like yours are tires (even if they've JUST been
balanced), but since you changed tires I'd check wheel bearings, lug
bolts and steering shock.
