well, um, if regina is on the boat and he washed up with his head blown apart by a 12 gauge, i think the cops will figure it out pretty quickly.
in all candor, all morbid joking aside, i really would think this guy could be in possible danger in a small community given the nature of his crime. not even as a planned thing, but as stupid street stuff. an angry fella maybe a little under the influence notices him and pronounces "hey, i know who you are" and anything can happen. but i don't know anything about this place.
