I would try a Black Opal Cabernet Sauvignon or if you like a little
sweeter a Merlot from Black Opal.

Not to me, as I am a real liver afficionado.  Two of my favorite dishes

scrambled eggs with chicken livers (sauteed in butter and served rare),
  and
beef liver and onions, preferably accompanied by mashed potatoes.  I
  haven't
figured out a good wine for the beef liver.  Any ideas?
