Fixed my rheostat on the SD with just one shot into the rheostat....till I
burned it up and had to rebuild it.....but that's a different story (LED
light in dash...not worka)

It's absolutely the first thing to try when you have electrical
problems and there's something in the circuit that can be unplugged
and cleaned (glow plug relay connector, cruise control amp,
headlights, etc.).
