The 95 was NA, but later years got the turbo om606

It has some giddy up, but nothing to write home about.  Will lag  
behind any gas car.  Once you are up to speed enough to spool the  
turbo who really cares? since you are left in the dust anyway

Transmission repairs are a pain in most any car and best approach is  
to just drop a fresh one in instead of tear down and repair
