Chuck, I am half way there. When reinstalling the cluster I switched the glow plug and brake light bulbs. Onward and downward! ;)
On my 123 300TD, I was able to disconnect the bulbs in the cluster without messing with any wires. Not sure about the fibre optic bulb yet, however.
