I had a 1959 Volvo P 544S IIRC back in grad school (1969) that was great fun to drive. It could cruised along at 77 all day long, 4 speed on a LONG stick, and when you got out of the car you felt refreshed and not the least bit achy because the orthopedic seats. I bought it for $425 and sold it a year later for $325. The only problem was the wiper transmission. Both sides got stripped (leading to floppy wipers) within a couple weeks of each other. I ended up using just one wiper mounted in such a way that it actually cleared most of the w/s.
