Don't now about price of rebuild, but I do know two things-these are some of finest MB diesels (I own one) -and around here-NE they are scarce and pricey so a rebuild might well be worth it. Have you done the tranny>?
Performance products has kits and long blocks and short blocks-or they used to. If you get a long block there are some cheap engine shipping companies out there-200 IIRC. Dwight Dwight E. The car has 225k on the clock, is rust free and has had most of the maintenance type items rebuilt or replaced in the last 50K. Maybe a rebuild is over the top but I would like to compare the costs. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.
