Yes it is. However, it's a "prix imposé" (fixed price) setup, where there's no 
bidding - you set the price.

I have used it to clean off my shelves of textbooks, and it actually works 
pretty well.  The only negative I can think of is that they only pay out the 
proceeds twice a month, which can be a PITA.  If you sell something on the 
16th, you won't get paid until after the first of the next month.

That being said, I've also found some really good deals on DVDs there.  If 
you're looking for a particular movie or video you're bound to find it there 
cheap, and often new, still sealed in the wrapper as well.
