One of the things that surprised me when I was last in Cuba [prior to the USSR breakup when they were supporting the Cuban economy] was the amount of making fun of the Soviets I saw on Cuban TV. I don't know enough Spanish to follow the programs, but the Tom and Jerry like cartoons were very anti-Soviet. The other surprising thing was the lack of posters of Fidel [but then he was on TV for hours at a time all the time]. You saw posters of Raoul Castro and of Che Gueverra, but almost none of Fidel. No big surprise, but Kennedy was despised, including a museum on the Bay of Pigs in the resort town near there. BillR
