I should have been more careful with my terms... But you are missing frontal area in your formula. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drag_coefficient There the formula is Drag = 1/2 p * v^2 * Cd * A or one half the the coefficient of drag times density of the fluid times the velocity squared times the frontal area. Since we are talking about cars on the surface of planet earth, we can fairly safely presume the mass density of the fluid is the same. We are presuming the velocity is the same, 'cause we all know it wouldn't be fair to compare otherwise. That leaves coefficient of drag and frontal area as the factors in the air resistance difference between various vehicles. It still ignores the affect of engine efficiency on fuel economy. -- Philip _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
