The stainless strips should have notches inward toward the rubber with little raised places in the rubber in them to keep them from being slung outward by centrifgal force. One of the little "C" clamps built into the holder assembly should fit into a groove/slot near one end of the rubber for the same reason - to counteract centrifugal force.
