I think the no-spare idea is not going to go over too well so something will
have to be done. A car more important than the humble Cobalt is the Porsche
997-2 Turbo which not only has no spare but has nowhere to stow a flat tire. The
wheels are too large to fit inside the car or the trunk. Perhaps if the right
front seat were removed and left along the roadside with your wife to guard
it while you drove off on three wheels to find a tire shop. Who BTW wouldn't be
able to deal with those big wheels and tires, anyway.
A friend damaged a tire sidewall on his '08 Boxster S while vacationing on
the Oregon coast last summer so of course the fix-a-flat can couldn't help. He
called the Portland Porsche dealer who sent a flatbed to haul the car to
Portland for a new tire. They paid for the tow but not the tire.
