Have you used any HF sockets or wrenches lately? About all my sockets and my metric wrench set are all HF. To get the caliper bolts off I put my 19mm wrench on and wail on it with a 3# hammer. Its not bent or messed up in any way that I can tell...
The sockets are thicker than my craftsman ones but seem just as strong if not stronger. I pull the wheels with a regular socket in my 24v cordless impact wrench, haven't hurt the socket yet that I can detect, its still tight on the lug bolts. -Curt Date: Thu, 13 Nov 2008 11:24:10 -0800 From: "Alex Chamberlain" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [MBZ] Do I need To: "Mercedes Discussion List" <mercedes@okiebenz.com> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 On Thu, Nov 13, 2008 at 10:24 AM, Mitch Haley <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: >> >> You have a long handle 1/2" drive ratchet right? > > If not, HF sells a 25" breaker bar for $15 +/- $5. Save yourself some trouble by doing all the work in HF's parking lot, that way the sockets that you break with the breaker bar can be instantly replaced under warranty. :) Alex _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
