Probably it screws off, but it is probably goobered up from 20 yr of crap, so it might be time for a new unit and save the aggravation of the next aspect going bad.

Yea, I know, this is an MB list, but there's lot's of other expertise
amongst you guys, too.

Any of you guys installed or repaired a swiveling kitchen sink faucet
recently. Swiveling spout at our kitchen sink leaks around its base, at the
swivel seal(s), that is. The spout rises vertically 8 to 10 inches above
the sink then makes a right turn out over the sink. I think it's a Delta
faucet; can't remember for sure; I installed it 20 years ago. The swiveling
spout has a ring plate about 3/16 inch tall around its base; immediately
above that is a cone-shaped collar nearly 2 inches tall inside of which the
spout swivels. Any of you fine gentlemen know if the ring and collar screw
off to allow access to seal(s) (probably 0-ring) near the base of the spout?
I wrapped masking tape around the ring and collar to protect finish a little
while ago and tried to unscrew them, probably too timidly thus far - no
success. I THINK they screw on. Anybody on the list know?

BTW, I AM reasonably well-experienced with plumbing matters - 'just can't
remember 'zackly how to access this spout, and don't wanta "mess up" the
finish.
