'Cept, if I WERE to say the words spelled, "w h a t  k i n d," I REALLY
WOULD say, "What kind?"  Oddly, I don't have the typical southern accent -
'not odd to me, though, I've always (since 13 or 14 or so) tried to
enunciate properly and pronounce consonants, etc.  People I met while in the
Air Force were always surprised to learn that I'm from NC.  I DO know how to
say, "Chahlstn," and such when appropriate, though.   ;<))))))))))
