Ok, I went to a GM dealer today and had a peek around. I looked at some
used stuff, and it's amazing what's out there at the moment. Maybe I'm must
used to Mercedes and Porsche prices.

Anyway, I wanted something with a bit of space to take my folks around in,
so I looked at a minivan. I forgot the name of it already, Uplander I
think?? Anyway, the used car guy gave me a walk through the place without
asking, and things have sure changed since I was last in a GM shop. Nice
and clean, a tidy service area, which I must say, also had a number of new
high end AMG mercedes. A detailing shop, with again, GMs, high end AMGs and
a used Roller for $225,000. Seems like a great deal as the car is 3 years
old and went new for about $480,000 here.

Oh, the minivan. One year old ('08), with 39,000 kms. Lots of nice things
on it, for a van, with an asking price of just under $16,000! Geez, how do
they sell them for that and still make money? Anyway, I was thinking, taxes
are about $2000 and a bit, once you stick plates on it, so I'll offer him
$16,000 out the door. If he goes for it, I'll buy it.

Ok, not as cheap as an old 240 running on veggie oil, but sure seems like a
lot of car for the money. If it goes well tomorrow, I may have to re-think
this whole American car thing.

300E, which will soon have it's emission test, and then decide what to do
with it depending upon the results.
