Don - I purchased a TC740 unit from them a couple of years ago for use with my Dual 1287 turntable and I have been very happy with it but of course it doesn't have the 78 setting you desire. OTOH since the 78's have no need for the RIAA re-equalization possibly one could use this unit's line input function. I'm sure a call to these folks would let you know. I have used the unit's line input a couple of times and found it handy.
