A work associate just called and told me he bought an '83 300D euro, 192K (not sure M's or Km's), $1500. Crank windows, manual hvac (cold AC), white with blue cloth, operable sun roof, pretty much complete. Says the coolant is green (seeping froma hairline crack on top hose nozzle), PO has the vac lines on passenger side of firewall plugged, says it flares a little before it kicks down when you tromp on it. Says it has a little vibration at certain speeds.I'm sure he will have more to report to me after he drives it a bit. He asked me to come and drive it next week, I already gave him the Marshall Lecture (diesel purge, change ALL fuses, and drive it like you STOLE it). I'm going to invite him into our world.
