Check to see if the engine wiring harness has been replaced. Check to see if the PO has a receipt for replacing the throttle body (servo) being replaced. Should be $1200 for a new one +labor or $600 for a rebuilt+labor. Check for rust in the jack points, usual places. With that mileage, from what i have heard, the M104 is likely to need valves done, unless the PO has a record of valves done. If it has not had a timing chain, tensioner and guides, they are near end of life.

It might run a long time, but with that mileage, a lot of things are suspect. If it is $500 and you can check it all out before taking long trips, it is probably ok. If you are only going to drive it <30 miiles from home, it is probably ok for that as is. But PM can save costly repairs later.
