I've always thought it was sort of a scam that they make separate units at all. They can make more profit selling you two appliances that take twice the space, even though it would be fairly straightforward to build them as one, since they're similar devices with a lot of parts in common. I can't imagine that it would be too difficult or expensive to build a combined unit, so they must exist somewhere?
