Showed that to my wife last night. I've been trying chase down a 300CD lately,
I think that trailer would be slick behind it. She thought it would be pretty
cool, life on the open road...

Ultimately it depends on the weight, but that looks like a pretty light
trailer. Shouldn't be a problem. It'd look really pretty behind a
Mercedes.

I think a small trailer is the best of both worlds, really. You aren't
tempted to bring along too much stuff, but you can sleep off the ground
where your stuff won't get wet if there's a rainstorm. I used to
borrow
my parents' Jayco pop-up camper and tow it behind my Volvo 240 wagon.

No, no. Real Yankees are from Maine. And the answer is .... "Auyh."

Puffy people? I've been from Maine for 29 years now (my whole life...) and
never heard that.

The only people who call people from Maine "mainiacs" are flatlanders. I've
always tried to give them disgusted looks. Those are the same flatlanders who
don't understand why they'll never be natives.

Actually, people from Maine are either Mainiacs, Puffy People, or New
Englandahs. They're not often called Yankees.

Lee,

Cold starting will be a non-issue in the 93 if you run Mobil-1, as it
has factory afterglow. Probably no worries to zero F, below that a
block heater would be nice if it's cold-soaked overnight.

On the 87, without afterglow, I'd recommend the afterglow conversion.
Basically that means installing a glow plug relay from any 3.5L diesel
(90-95), and replacing the dash gauge temp sender in the head with the
dual-output type (the extra output is for the relay). I did this on my
car and have been very happy with the results. There's another cheaper
method, what I call poor man's afterglow, using an existing
thermoswitch on the 86/87 cars to keep the plugs on for a short time
after starting.

:-)
