New Autozone battery after being installed in '84 300D for one day,
voltage
at terminal posts = 11.4VDC. Voltage @ C105 with engine idling =
12.5VDC
which I believe indicates charging system is OK,
Those voltages are low. You sure about your meter?
These days a running car should have something like 14V
on the battery. Drops to 12V (over time) when stopped.
With a new battery, that tends to finger your charging
system.
