Wilton's is installed in a separate case, external from the computer. He was talking about taking the disk out of the old computer and putting it in an external box that's connected to the new computer with a USB cable. > So once the second HD is installed internally, the comp should see it as > an extra drive, no other messing about needed? You have the possibility of different types of data busses, as well as the need to set jumpers on some types of disks. Once you do have the disk connected correctly internally, you may have more difficulty in assigning it a disk letter (i.e., something like E:\). With the external disk Winders knows to add it automatically. > I think me new comp is a slim case like yours Wilton, but there seems to > be one or two free bays. Go the way (internal or external) you feel most comfortable with. Craig P.S. Notice all the junk at the bottom I trimmed off? _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
