What I think many of you are missing is that its $4500 to buy a new car, like 
its a voucher to buy a new car...

I'm thinking to get the $4500 out of my $400 240D to buy me a new Fiesta...

I would be right behind with the '83 300SD.  That way, I could buy another 
one and I'd have the money to fix the flaws like non-working AC and rusty 
rear window channel.  Of course, this would only work if word of the $4500 
hadn't spread too far.
