I found that the idle control valve was not adjusted properly and thus was
not letting the engine idle high enough on restart. After adjusting it
appears to work better.

I am thinking about designing a new idle control module, one that will
supply more than 1000mA and will adapt to the worn idle control valves.

Subject: [MBZ] Bad idle after hot soak

I am having a strange problem with my 1991 560SEL. After I run my car and
get it warm, the cut off and let sit for about 1 hour, when I restart the
car does not want to idle. I thought it was the idle speed control unit so I
replaced with a used one and found no difference.

I thought it may be leaking injectors but even after reving the engine at
2000RPMs for a couple of seconds it does not clear up. Maybe someone else
has ran into this problem before?

Thanks
Trampas
