Probably less work to install the bigger nozzle that comes with the timing chain kit (although I don't know where it goes). If I could buy one for $800 less than I thought it was worth, I'd buy it and either install the chain kit myself or have it installed by somebody else if it turns out to be as bad as working on a Quad4 timing chain.

If I'd owned the car since new, I'd want GM to pay for it, and probably just grumble loudly like Gary if they refused.
