For 3K it is worth to have look at how much rust is in it.
However being a dealer one would assume they know what they are looking at and there may be a valid reason as to why it is in the budget price range.

them made from what I know.

Oh, duh, I forgot about those.  But they're awfully rare.  I still
think the seller is probably a fool or a knave.
