Well as marshall pointed out and which is correct, a quality used engine
is going to be at least $2500.

Because he thinks a used head will crack if bought separately, but
not if he buys it uninspected and still on the engine. I think he
should just get a used head, casting #17 thru #22. Certainly he
should not buy a used engine if it has the same #14 head he has now.
