It is the crossover that is the part that cracks.  The crack is normally
behind the alternator in the valley of the V.  I think the stress of the
alternator mount is what eventually causes this breakage.  So this part of
the manifold has no direct connection to the cylinders or oil, only the
coolant.

With that much leakage, you should be able to see where it's going --- since
it's not going into the oil.
