He is already playing that game, but some teachers are smarter than that and are not going to give him a grade he did not "earn" by doing some work. I applaud that. He skated through grade school and needs to know that more is expected than just being a warm body and getting lucky on tests

I don't have any good advice for what to do if he falls into that trap, but watch out for it, for eventually he'll rise to the level where he can't get an A without actually working.
