And with a block heater -whatever...

Pete's right though a charger should keep the battery pretty warm regardless. 
How cold do you expect it to get?

If
your going to be saved to 110v, why not use a trickle charger? That
along with synthetic oil should start any proper diesel down to -10?.

Cold will be approaching soon. 
I cannot imagine a battery tray warmer should be only made in china, 
but I cannot fathom where I might find a USA made one. Also, this 
cannot be a huge design problem - can it? Maybe someone here has the 
intuition and design ideas to make one, here in USA? or give ideas how 
to make one?
