Larry,
You ought to go over the the stealer ship when the part comes in and
smack the idiot at the desk upside the head for being a lazy worthless
unmotivated uninformed blemish on the reputation of mercedes

Hello all,
To everyone who helped with suggestions about obtaining a replacement
bushing for my control rod. After finding the control rod assy is NLA
thru
MB Classic, and the bushing isn't shown at all on the parts diagram and
without a description on a parts diagram is *very* difficult to look
up part
numbers.
Well,.... MB classic came thru! They sent a parts diagram showing the
control rod assy with the bushing clearly shown. This is a totally
different diagram from what the dealer has and from what's in my
Picture
Parts Book.
MB Classic gave me a PN and price and suggested I contact my local
dealer
for purchase. Did that, and the part will be here Tues.
Amazing - a tiny $2 piece of plastic that makes my 27 year old MB
difficult
to drive - and they keep a stock of them somewhere!
Thanks again to all who suggested fixes ---
Sincerely,
Larry T ('74 911, '67 MGB, 78 240D)
