What work are you referring to? (I know, DVs) but what part of the job? To
lube the o-rings before installation?

Vaseline or silicone grease works better. Vaseline is actually the
specified material -- it IS hydrocarbon wax, after all. Don't use
anything but pure stuff, no scents or etc.
