Thanks Fred, Curt, and others who wrote. Looked at the flex disk that came already mounted on the replacement diff and didn't see anything but the Mercedes logo, the part number, and the number 10. The side facing the diff appeared to have more lettering but couldn't see it very well tonight. Will look at it tomorrow.

The transmission one has lettering on it (In German) that says this side
to trans. I think the diff. one is either way.

Gerry your "rubber universal" is a "flex disk" and AFAIK it doesn't matter which way it goes on...
