Who was the Coastie that was bemoaning the decommissioning of the LORAN system?
I ask because I just talked to the guys at the LORAN site in Dana, Indiana. We
service the generators that back up the site.
They turn off the transmitter on Monday. The site is being mothballed and
turned over to the local government after the USCG gets their toys out of it.
