The terms "Turn Signals" and "Directional Signals" are mismomers. A proper (functional) description would be "Masculinity Challenge Annunciators". If you keep that in mind when driving (at least in Baltimore and DC), it is a little easier to understand the behavior (and piloting) of those around you.
