Kaleb,
I am with Rich on this... we had a Maytag for 6 or 7 years. Headaches and noise. We shopped around when we moved 2 years ago, and settled on a Bosch from Lowes. Great machine, quiet as a mouse. I have cleaned that bottom filter exactly twice in two years, both times removing debris about the size of my thumbnail. (I do rinse the dishes before loading.) And empty it the following morning, nice and dry. Tom Schuch SE Connecticut 1975 W115 300D and half a dozen BMWs Message: 2 Date: Sun, 14 Mar 2010 20:24:53 -0500 From: "Kaleb C. There were a few whirpool models that have the silver ware deal in the door, I kind of like that. I am thinking I want one with a stainless steel tub rather than plastic. Reading on lowes, the KA one has better reviews than the Bosch, both are $599. Bosch has more cycles, but does not have a food disposal but rather a basket thing you have to empty. Also does not seem to have a heated dry cycle. Rich Thomas wrote: > Buy a Bosch. They are on the expensive end but well worth it. Very > quiet, do a great job, and all stainless steel inside.
